SONARIUM
PROJECT
The Sonarium Project was a fictional assignment where I designed posters for a conservatory in Geneva, Switzerland. The aim was to create visually striking posters with an unconventional artistic direction, in order to attract a younger audience primarily people aged 18 to 40, with a particular focus on encouraging youth to visit the conservatory.

To develop a strong and unique visual identity, I experimented with the idea of hybrid instruments. The process involved cutting out the shape of one instrument such as a violin by photographing it and isolating its silhouette in Photoshop. Once I had this outline, I carefully placed images of another instrument, like a trumpet, inside the shape of the violin. This method allowed me to create surreal, “fusion” instruments that looked familiar yet unexpected.

For the typography at the bottom of the posters, I selected a typeface that naturally appears elongated while staying ele, giving the illusion of being stretched without any digital manipulation. This typographic choice complements the unusual, hybrid instruments and reinforces the playful, unconventional spirit of the visuals while maintaining a cohesive overall design.
